Disease Management Clinics

Patients with the following conditions are seen on an automatic recall basis by the clinicians mentioned.

• Asthma/Chronic Bronchitis - Practice Nurse in conjunction with all doctors.

• Heart Disease - Practice Nurse in conjunction with Dr Young. 

• Diabetes  - Practice Nurse in conjunction with Dr Young.

• Stroke & TIA - Practice Nurse in conjunction with Dr Young. 

• Epilepsy - Practice Nurse in conjunction with Dr Young. 

• Thyroid Disease - Practice Nurse in conjunction with Dr Schmautz.

• High Blood Pressure - Practice Nurse in conjunction with all doctors.

Additional Services

• Cervical Cancer Screening (Smears) - Practice Nurse.

• Family Planning – with all doctors during a surgery consultation. Coil insertion & contraceptive implants with Dr Schmautz at a surgery consultation.

• Childhood Vaccinations - Immunisation Team, Forth Valley.

• Child Health Surveillance – carried out by all Doctors and the Health Visitor. Arranged by the Health Visitor.

• Maternity Care – carried out by all Doctors, Midwife and Health Visitor after an initial surgery consultation.

• Blood Samples -  (Phlebotomist).

• Immunisations – all doctors, the Practice Nurse and District Nurse can administer this during special vaccination clinics, surgeries, practice nurse’s clinics and disease management clinics.

• Warfarin Monitoring – carried out by the Doctors during morning surgeries only.

• Monitoring of Special Drug Therapies - all Doctors and the Practice Nurse undertake this during a surgery or Practice Nurse consultation.

Allied Services

• Midwife (alternating Monday PM)
• Immunisation Team (Tuesday all day)
• Community Mental Health Nurse (Friday all day)
• Community Physiotherapist (Friday all day)

Please note we are not providing travel vaccinations at this time.

Please note we have reduced Clinics and Services running for the duration of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)

• Insurance claim forms

• Passport signing

• Prescriptions for taking medication abroad

• Private sick notes

• Vaccination certificates

• Travel Vaccinations

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
